Members of the ASA act as a link between the mill producers of rolled and extruded products and the customers. The ASA actively seeks to develop the UK stockholding industry. It plays an active part in organisations such as the Aluminium Federation in promoting the use of aluminium products in a wide range of end uses.

The Aluminium Federation (ALFED) is the trade association which represents the interests of the UK aluminium industry. It is the premier on line resource for all matters related to aluminium.

The British Stainless Steel Association (BSSA) exists to promote and develop the manufacture and use of stainless steel across the UK. The BSSA promotes the use of stainless steel and provides help and advice to potential users.

Established in 1975, the European Plastics Distributors Association (EPDA) is comprised of companies engaged in the distribution and manufacture of plastic sheet, rod, tube, pipe, valves, fittings, film and related products. EPDA members manufacture and distribute plastic-oriented products: Plastic semis and/or plastic pipe, valves and fittings.

The BAFD is the trade association for the distribution of Fasteners in Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The BAFD provides assistance with training, including the Fastener Training Manual and acts as a focal point for contact between purchasers of Fasteners and suppliers.
