Titanium Alloy - BS TA11 - 6AL4V

BS TA11 - 6AL4V

TA11 (bar form) is one of a number of varieties of 6AL-4V.
Titanium 6AL4V is the most widely used titanium grade. It offers corrosion resistance, light weight and high strength and is typically used in the aerospace industry. This alloy is age hardenable by heat treatment increasing it's strength further. Applications of 6AL4V include rings, compressor blades and discs for jet engines, pressure vessels, helicopter rotor hubs and critical forgings requiring high strength to weight ratio. 6AL4v also plays a role in medical, marine and chemical processing environments.
