Alloy K500

Alloy K500 is a precipitation hardening version of Alloy 400. It benefits from a combination of good corrosion resistance with increased hardness, low magnetic permeability, high strength and excellent cryogenic properties. Widely used in marine environments, such as fasteners, propeller shafts, pump shafts, rotor blades and valve trim.

For severe service environments, nickel alloys come into their own offering far superior mechanical properties and corrosion resistance than many other corrosion resistant alloys. Depending on the application, alloys can be selected to give excellent performance over a wide range of temperatures, operating environments and media where strength and corrosion resistance are critical. Marine engineering, chemical and petrochemical processing and the oil & gas industry all benefit from the use of these alloys in diverse components from valves through fasteners to drill collars.
