Alloy 800

Alloy 800 is a Ni-Cr-Fe alloy containing small additions of aluminium and titanium. The alloy is not hardenable by heat treatment but cold working can provide enhanced mechanical properties.

For severe service environments, nickel alloys come into their own offering far superior mechanical properties and corrosion resistance than many other corrosion resistant alloys. Depending on the application, alloys can be selected to give excellent performance over a wide range of temperatures, operating environments and media where strength and corrosion resistance are critical. Marine engineering, chemical and petrochemical processing and the oil & gas industry all benefit from the use of these alloys in diverse components from valves through fasteners to drill collars.
